The Outline of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development puts forward the binding targets that during the eleventh Five-Year period, the energy consumption of per GDP should be reduced by 20% and the total discharge of major pollutants should be reduced by 10%. This is the important measure in implementing the scientific outlook of development and constructing a harmonious socialist society, the inevitable choice in building a resource-efficient and environment-friendly society, the only way of promoting the adjustment of industrial structure and transforming the growth pattern, and the necessary requirement of improving people’s living quality and safeguarding the long-term national interests.

 

The origin of Green Lighting

Between 1970s and 1980s, with the global energy crisis and the tide of global environment protection, protecting the global environment became the consensus of all mankind. In January 1991, the Environment Protection (EPA) of the United States firstly proposed the concept of implementing Green Light and promoting Green Lights Program which was quickly supported by the United Nations and emphasized by many developed as well as developing countries. Relevant policies and technical measures are adopted actively to promote the implementation and development of Green Lights Program.

In November 1993, the state Economic and Trade Commission initiated the Green Lights Program in China and incorporated it in the state plan officially in 1996.

International Energy Conservation, Environmental Protection & Green Industry Trade Expo in Tianjin has become the largest energy conservation exposition in China with most exhibiting products and greatest influence in this field.

In March 2007, International Energy Conservation, Environmental Protection & Green Industry Trade Expo in Tianjin, China achieved unprecedented success. With 20,000 square meters exhibition area (400 international standard booths), it lasted for three days and attracted a lot of audience and more than 200 famous companies at home and abroad with their energy conservation and environment protection products, such as AsiaNet, Sun Sv from Japan, Wattsavings and LED from the United States, Logintel from Beijing, Witsatart, OSRAM and other domestic and foreign companies. Exhibitors and visitors were almost totally satisfied with this exposition. In three days, it achieved the turnover of 200million yuan at the scene. Therefore, it provided the advanced technology for energy conservation and pollutant reduction as well as a good trading platform for buyers and sellers.

During the exhibition, seven seminars and new products promotion conferences had been held which attracted thousands of general managers and people responsible for energy of enterprises at home and abroad. Through deep exchange and communication, the latest energy-saving technology and products had been absorbed.

This exposition is estimated to attract 400 well-known enterprises from home and abroad with the exhibition area over 22,000 square meters and visitors more than 50,000.

Publicity &Promotion IERTE2008

On the basis of the success in 2007, International Energy Conservation, Environmental Protection & Green Industry Trade Expo in Tianjin, China will try its best to improve the quality constantly and take a leading position in promotion so as to build a platform for domestic and foreign energy conservation enterprises to expand their market.

 

A six-men promoting group will be formed to advertise the exposition through direct visit, telephone facsimile, short message, e-mail, mailing, professional journals, websites, popular press, television and other channels. The Organizing Committee plans to send 20,000 invitation cards, 50,000invitation letters and one million visiting tickets to domestic and foreign enterprises. We will focus on inviting decision-makers, director and purchasing staff of enterprises in such industries as electricity, chemical industry, metallurgy, paper-making, brewing, light industry, pharmaceutical, printing and dyeing, textile, machinery, coal, food, beverages, building materials, electronics, leather, electroplating, HVAC, air conditioning, oil and natural gas. Invitations will also be sent to banks, hospitals, schools, shopping malls, hotels, enterprises and other units in Tianjin and neighboring provinces and cities. Participation Cost: IERTE2008

Domestic Exhibitors: should pay RMB￥5,800 for each international standard booth of 3m×3m(pay an extra of 10% of the charge for any corner booth).

Overseas Exhibitors: should pay U.S.$ 1,500 for each international booth of 3m × 3m . (pay an extra of 10% of the charge for any corner booth)

Open space in the exhibition site: The minimum rental space is 36㎡. Domestic enterprises should pay RMB￥600/㎡ and overseas enterprises should pay U.S. $ 150/㎡.

All exhibitors can apply for Exchange Conferences for new products and technologies and the cost is RMB￥3,500 per hour. The organizing committee will offer meeting rooms and lighting facilities for free and help to invite professional visitors.

Notes: 1. Unified equipment of each standard booth: 3-sides of enclosure (2.5-meter high), a lintel with the unit name in Chinese, 1 desk, 2 chairs, 2 fluorescent lamps, and a 220V power socket. Exhibitors can prepare other facilities or apply for rental.

The exposition affair charge is RMB￥600 per person. (For exhibition materials, lunch, souvenir etc.)

Raw space is equipped without any facilities, and it will be constructed by exhibitors according to the demands of enterprisers.

Attending Procedure IERTE2008

1.The exhibition application should be filled in seriously, stamped officially and faxed together with corporation profiles to the organizing committee by participating enterprises. Booth certifications will be sent to participating enterprises after the organizing committee receives exhibition applications and receipts of remittance, please consult the “Announcement of Exhibition Affairs” on October 1^st for details.

Deadline for Application: October 1^st, 2008

2.Exhibition and advertising costs should be sent to the bank account designated by the organizing committee within seven days after the exhibition application is faxed. And receipts of remittance should also be faxed to the organizing committee for checking.

3. Booth confirmation will be sent to exhibitors after the organizing committee receives exhibition applications and receipts of remittance.

4.The principle for arranging booths: First apply and pay, first served. In case that the organizing committee fails to receive exhibition costs sent by participating enterprises within seven days, it will have the right to rearrange booths or to cancel booth reserves.
